I’m sure you’ve felt bad about yourself from time to
time. These feelings of low self-esteem are often
caused by poor treatment by other people, or by
your own judgment of yourself.

It happens to a lot of us. That’s usually how it normally goes.
However, some people suffer low self-esteem constantly.

This is usually true if you experience depression or
other similar problems.

Typically you will go through life feeling bad about
yourself, even when it isn’t necessary. You wind up
not enjoying life, not do the things you want to do,
or not being able to work towards your goals.

In short, you are incapacitated from doing anything.

At the same time, low self-esteem is a symptom of
depression, which in turn is a symptom of something
else.

Depending on who you ask, low-self esteem is
caused by depression or depression is caused by
low self-esteem.

Regardless of which train of thought you subscribe
to, it can’t bee denied that low self-esteem is related
to depression.

It also can’t be denied that this affects a huge
number of individuals.

However, you can do things that will not only build up
your self-esteem, but at the same time get rid of your
depression.

********************************************************************

Let me show these simple things you can do right away
so you can boost your self-esteem and get a head’s up
against depression.

The good thing is, you can do these things everyday.

1) Focus on yourself.

That is to say, pay attention to what you want and
need. By that I mean, listen to what your body is
saying. If you feel it wants you to take a long walk,
do so.

If you feel you need someone to talk to seek out a
friend and hang-out.

This also means to need to take care of yourself.
Eat healthy, exercise, do physical activities.

Take the time to enjoy things that you want to do.
Start or finish a project that you’ve been holding off
doing.

Spend for yourself – buy clothes or even a complete
wardrobe. Just don’t overdo it of course or you may
wind up doing more harm than good.

Basically, make it a point to treat yourself well everyday.

********************************************************************

2) Be positive about yourself.

Get rid of all those negative thoughts and bombard
yourself with positive reinforcements. By that I mean
give yourself affirmations.

Repeat these positive words over and over in your
mind, or say it out loud to yourself.

If you want write it down for you to read or to hang
in your home where you can easily see it.

This will take time and patience. But slowly but surely
you’ll notice that after a while all your negativity will
be transformed into positive energy.

********************************************************************

3) Party it up socially.

Remember that famous line: “no man is an island,
entire of itself…”

Just as it says, you can’t do it all just by yourself.
We are social creatures. We long for companions
to interact with.

Go outside. Seek out your friends. Refresh your contact
with the rest of the human race.

Friends and families are the best medicines out there -
for any and all kinds of ailment.

And do they work wonders, especially if you’re feeling
down.

********************************************************************

As you build your self-esteem you’ll feel better and
you’ll see that you are enjoying life more than you
did before. In fact you’ll even see that you’re doing
more of the things you have always wanted to do.

Your happiness gives you your positive self-esteem.
This in turn gives you your health. Depression and
loneliness cannot enter your mind if you have the
high walls of your positive self-esteem standing guard.

This can help you make use of the power of
affirmations in order to charge your everyday
life with the positivism that will help you stave
off the fear of the darkness so you don’t fall victim
to your negative environment.

How To Set Goals Like The Energizer Bunny

2009-09-04 We all set goals and of course, we want to achieve them. How many of us promised ourselves, that yes, we want to be healthier, want to lose weight, we want to be more organized, be more positive, blah-blah. Okay, I can feel the enthusiasm, the fire is there, but for how long? Today’s blog is about motivation on how to set goals so that all of our best intentions won’t simply come to waste. You know what are the top most enemies when you set goals? It’s inaction and temptation. Well, it’s only human nature to feel lazy and give in to our temptations once in a while, but you don’t want to let go of your dreams and goals and your best intentions only to get swayed by life’s inevitable temptations, right? So how do you beat those two monsters we get to encounter with when we set goals? Well firstly, hold yourself accountable.

Have That Unwavering Spirit When You Set Your Goals

2009-08-19 Before anything else, consider this short scenario about goal setting. I’m sure this sounds familiar or have you experienced any similar situation like this? Let’s say for example you thought of a cool idea (usually you have those ‘Aha’ or ‘Eureka’ moments and no need for any goal setting software) for a new product and you can’t wait to sell it to the market. You’re simply too confident and positive that your product will be saleable and attract customers. You’re just way too excited that you blab it to your friends. However, one friend of yours commented that this product of yours will only be a waste of time and especially a waste of money.

The Fast Action Plan For An Effective Goal Planning

2009-07-01 Even you’re not the very goal-oriented type, I’m sure you’ve got your own goals or anything you want to be in the near future, or whatever you want in life. That’s why it’s still important to have your own goal setting planning. It’s true that it’s all in the attitude if you want to have a good life. But it’s more than just attitude. For what good is attitude if you don’t make that decision in your life? You got to take action for you to set your goals. In other words, if you want change, then be ready for change—act to change.

Set A Goal To Attain Success

2009-06-05 You want to be successful who doesn’t? why don’t you start to set a goal for it?. Of course, almost all of us wanted to progress in life. It’s the main target of many. But the big question here is how, right? People look in various ways on how to be an achiever and get what they really want like the comforts of luxury, influence and fame that is all associated with success. It’s great to feel all of these. They say big things came from small beginnings. That’s true because like a cycle of life, before we became humans; we started as a tiny cell.

Know The Secrets To Achieve Effective Goals

2009-05-13 Setting effective goals—how do you go about in achieving them? Perhaps you hoped to eat healthily from now on, start going back to the gym or be more patient with other people. But these are just wishes, not goals. Yes, the aspiration to improve ourselves for the better is there and it’s authentic. However, the processes we carry on whilst pursuing this aspiration is rather defective or not working at all. If you want to set effective goals, first and foremost, your goal in mind must be very significant and essential to you. Be sure that whatever you’re investing time, effort (and money sometimes!) are into the things you’re truly passionate about.

2009-04-07 Of course, it’s only human nature to think and aspire the best for themselves. Setting personal goals is good and makes us more disciplined so that we can identify and zero in on what we really aim for. Well, it’s not only at the beginning of a year (creating New Year’s Resolutions—only to break them days after) or the turning of a new season (“This summer I hope to…”) that we must set our personal goals. In fact, your goal setting doesn’t require a special occasion or season for it to commence. You can start now—well for starters, for this year alone, (though it’s a little late—hey, don’t set deadlines to your goals!) try to think about what you really, really want for yourself.

2009-03-11 Do you know what your career goals are? This is perhaps the most often asked question and the most imperative. You’ll be surprised that even though this is just a simple question, very few can really answer it with conviction. Interestingly, several career individuals in the workforce actually spend too much time with working toward their ambitions and planning with career goals that they barely could even identify. Usually at the beginning of a profession, some things do not seem to be so much of a big deal; as a matter of fact, things seem to be easy-breezy and free-flowing

2008-12-15 Are you already 40-something? So, have you ever thought regarding your early retirement planning? Most individuals find this activity as not really a very significant aspect to reflect on life. Mostly, they are likely to fail to notice everything that’s associated to retirement planning thinking that they’re still young enough and retiring is still very far and long way to go.
